Typical Height: 6' - 7'2"
The planet Aataahto has a slower rotation than Earth, about two Earth days is one day on Aataahto. It's covered in rocky formations with strange fungus-like vegetation. Odd swaying colorful grass, similar to the tentacles of a Sea Anemone, layer the surface of the planet's crust. On the highest peaks of the numerous mountains is thick sheets of snow. In the valleys of these many mountains is where the Kardak reside. Large cities are built within the most inland of the valleys, with smaller towns and villages bordering them. There is one, very salty ocean north of the planet. Fresh water lakes are sprinkled throughout the valleys, some fed through waterfalls hanging from the mountains. Aataahto is a very peaceful planet when it comes to weather. Most of the year it is brisk, but not freezing. The only other season is similar to Earth's spring.
Kardak are strange aliens. Their heads are smooth and bony, but velvety to the touch. While they have no physical eyes, they have sensitive glands within the deep indents on their heads that pick up heat signals and smells. Kardak also have a soft, fleshy and fatty substance in their foreheads that helps them with echolocation. By admitting a series low pitched clicks, too low for humans to ear, Kardak are able to detect their surroundings.
Kardak have a wide array of defenses. They have a row of sharp, jagged teeth for their meat eating diet. To protect their sensitive necks, they have large and sharp spikes fashioned in a mane-like appearance. Their claws on their hands and feet are extremely dense. Their hide is very tough, covered in short and soft fur. Their underbellies are bare, rough to the touch like rock. Along the jaw and behind the skull is six to eight tentacles. While not exactly for defense, Kardak use them for touch, taste and general tasks like holding items.
These aliens are mostly known for a very unique quality. Their organs not only have many healing properties for other alien species, but some of their organs and blood can even be transplanted in some alien species. While being a medical breakthrough, this has caused many issues in their own race. Ranging from black market deals, trafficking, organized crime and even illegal cloning. Cloning is the biggest issue amongst the Kardak. Their general population is highly against the science.
Kardak are typically quiet creatures. They're known as "silent stalkers" due to the fact they are very patient and unnerving to many races. Kardak are hard workers and persistent. They have strong family values and believe in community. Being a close society, Kardak are somewhat distant from other races. <i wytiwyg="1">
